Minutes of Annual Parish Meeting held on Monday, 11th May 2026 in the Village Hall at 7 p.m.
PRESENT: Dave Clarke, Philip Morrey, Richard Moulds, John Meredith, TK Al Jorani, Ralph Howard and Richard Simm.
No members of the public were in attendance.
- To elect Chair and vice-Chair – Jeff Smith was proposed by John Meredith and seconded by Philip Morrey. All present were in favour. TK Al Jorani proposed Dave Clarke as vice-Chair and this was seconded by John Meredith. All present in favour.
- To receive Declaration of Acceptance of Office of Chair and vice-Chair – form duly signed by Dave Clarke as vice-Chair, Jeff Smith will sign at next Council meeting he attends.
- Apologies – Jeff Smith and Geoff Hughes.
- To receive Chair’s annual report – attached to Minutes. Dave confirmed that this report was a good summary of events over the preceding 12 months.
Richard Moulds felt that more volunteers with particular skills were needed to not only assist the Council but also learn about the Council.
There will be an election in 2027 for Parish Councillors, and it is hoped that more people can be recruited to become Councillor candidates at that time.
- To receive Financial Report for year ending 31st March 2026 – Clerk reported as under:
Bank Balance as at 31.03.26. £4,314.76
Current Assets – remain the same for Insurance purposes
Online banking is now fully operational and working well.
It was confirmed that a 3-monthly financial update would be presented to Council meetings.
- Open Forum – as no members of the public were in attendance there were no items raised under this heading.
